There are two ways that a Web site can set font sizes: relative and absolute. The use of these in various locations on a page will determine not only how fonts and font sizes are computed for the page but also how some browser settings may handle them.

Installing an older version of OS X in a system may be tempting at times, but this can also lead to unexpected system behavior. Here are some scenarios as to why this might happen and how to avoid them.

With the release of Apple's iOS 4.2.1 software update, developers gain access to several new goodies including accelerometer and gyroscope support, WebSockets support through HTML5, printing support, new JavaScript data types, and enhanced SVG and Canvas support.

Our utilities update report is a list of updates for Mac utilities that have been released in the past week. Updates include those for maintenance programs, a popular cloning utility, and a search alternative for Spotlight.
External hard drives are convenient, but in rare cases some people have found that keeping them attached to their Macs at boot may result in a system hang.
