Comcast's Internet customers in the Midwest were hit by an outage last night, apparently related to the same DNS issues that clobbered the East Coast last week.

India's government is in talks with companies about gaining access to encryption keys to monitor secured communications on BlackBerry smartphones.

This week's Ask Maggie answers reader questions about which e-reader to buy and whether it's worth it to wait for the new version of the iPad that's expected early next year.

In another volley in the PR war, Level 3 restates the reasons why it thinks Comcast is violating Net neutrality rules by charging it for doubling data traffic on Comcast's network.
Big-box retailer will be offering at least four smartphones through December for free. The list includes the HTC Droid Incredible, the LG Optimus S, and many others.
