While 2010 was clearly the year in which cloud computing defined itself, 2011 is shaping up to be the year in which cloud clearly demonstrates what it is good for.

Comcast and Time Warner Cable will link their services to the next-generation Internet this June to help test the new technology.

Chip giant debuts its first 3G and 4G chips at the Mobile World Conference, giving new meaning to its tagline "Intel Inside."

The W3C sets a date for when it expects to finalize the next-gen Web page language, but it's tough to reconcile the pace of standardization with the pace of Web technology development.
