	The great $500 laptop challenge A frequent question from readers and co-workers, as well as friends and relatives is, "What's the best laptop for around $500?" So we set out to find out. We asked a bunch of CNET's laptop experts to pick the best laptop they could find, with a few ground rules. This isn't a spec-off, rather just systems that we generally think will be worthwhile.
