MyLink modernizes Chevy

The secret of Sync's success was that it supplied cheap and easy access to just about any cell phone or MP3 player in the car. Now Chevy announced similar technology in MyLink that will give its cars the same capabilities as Ford's. Like Sync, MyLink allows advanced voice control over cell phones and MP3 players, letting the user request music by album, artist, and song title. As GM turned to Nuance and Gracenote, the same companies working with Ford on Sync, MyLink should be a success. Further, MyLink incorporates apps, for now just Pandora and Stitcher, so users can listen to Internet radio and podcasts on the road.
