Apple has released the third beta of Mac OS X 10.6.7 for developers to thoroughly explore. No new issues have been included in this build (10J850) and developers are again asked to test graphics, AirPort, and Bonjour reliability.

OS X restricts the use of forward slash characters in file names; however, there may be rare instances where forward slashes can find their way into file names and result in OS X not being able to interact with the file.

The default location for accessing application menus in OS X is at the top of the primary monitor; however, this can be irritating if you have multiple monitors or need to just quickly access a menu in a background application. The utility DejaMenu provides an option around this limitation.

While rare and usually because of a bug, hang, or crash, sometimes files in OS X may be stuck with an "in use" lock that will prevent them from being edited or managed by other programs. Here is how to address this problem if it occurs.
While many features of OS X and Windows are similar, some are different enough to cause confusion for some new Mac users.
