Our utilities update report is a list of updates for Mac troubleshooting utilities that have been released in the past week, including several maintenance tools, disk and file system management tools, and a Unix ports manager.

After logging out of your MobileMe account, you may find that your iOS device no longer automatically syncs with your Mac, even after you log back in to MobileMe.

MacFixIt Answers is a weekly feature in which we answer questions e-mailed from our readers. We welcome alternative approaches and views from readers and encourage you to post your own suggestions in the comments.

Sometimes applications may not perform as expected or needed, so having two on your system will allow you to use one when the other will not work.
iChat supports the option to record video chats, but on some MacBook Air systems users may find the Record Chat option is not available.
