Google updates its browser, and faster Web-based program execution is the centerpiece with the Crankshaft version of the V8 JavaScript engine.

Chromium, the open-source foundation of Chrome, just got a new logo. It seems likely Chrome itself will follow suit.

The X220 convertible machine will join the X220 notebook in featuring Intel's Sandy Bridge chip--and sharp increases in battery life.

The Jolicloud operating system--touted for its HTML 5 and cloud sync capabilities--will be known as Joli OS and Jolicloud will be used to refer to the online desktop.
The new offering is intended to integrate computing assets, capacity, and configurations. Analytics will help automate virtualized data center infrastructure.
