	Chevy Volt on the road After last year's short rides in the Chevy Volt with a GM minder in the back seat, we got one in at the office for some real testing. After driving it past its electric range, that gas engine kicked in, and the car tackled steep hills and freeway speeds alike with no problems. We drove the Volt through a few battery recharge cycles and also dug into the cabin tech. In just about every area it earned a thumbs up. But we, and many car reviewers, only got the Volt for about a week. Check out the user reviews of the Chevy Volt on CNET. These owners have been driving it for months now, with some hitting over 1,000 miles. Only the Volt, Leaf, and upcoming Focus Electric are full production cars at this time.
