Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey's new company, Square, enables iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch owners to accept credit card payments, charging a small percentage of each transaction. No monthly or annual fees. No hardware expenses. And now, you can get a Square reader at an Apple Store or from Apple's Web site.

Who says penguins can't fly? The star of this new game just skyrocketed ahead of Angry Birds, Tiny Wings, and Cut the Rope.

The company logs its best-ever first quarter for smartphone sales, even as it has to adapt to a world in which someone else also sells Apple's iPhone in the U.S.

RockMelt launches for the iPhone, making its particular mix of social networking and Web browsing mobile.
