Slates may be starting to steal people away from their laptops, desktops, and even televisions, according to a survey released this week by Google's AdMob service.

Google enhances the enterprise management capabilities of its Android smartphone platform, making it possible for administrators to secure and reset lost or stolen devices.

The prepaid Common Cents brand apparently hasn't been making Sprint quite enough cents. Existing users will merge into a Virgin Mobile plan in May.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab gets a beefy update from Verizon with performance improvements, a battery life fix, and an Adobe Flash update, but the tablet is still stuck running Android 2.2.
The Taiwanese mobile phone maker posted record earnings and sales for the first quarter as a result of heavy consumer demand for its Android smartphones.
