Chipmaker says quake damaged two of its factories and hurt demand in the country.

A new report claims that Samsung is seeking $1.5 billion for its hard-disk-drive operations and wants to use that cash for investments elsewhere.

Select Toys R Us stores are selling the iPad 2 now, but that doesn't necessarily translate into in-store availability. Only select stores had the iPad, and they're selling out almost immediately.

The iPad 2 is a worthy upgrade from the groundbreaking original iPad. A couple of crucial hardware upgrades make a big difference.
Intel has a shot at tablet success on Android in the wake of the slow start of the Motorola Xoom and the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which are based on chip technology that competes with Intel products.
